On December 16, a cover album in honor of globe’s 20th anniversary will be released. It is titled “#globe20th -SPECIAL COVER BEST.” As previously reported, Kaela Kimura, GReeeeN, Koda Kumi, Miu Sakamoto, Da-iCE, Chotokkyu, TRF, AAA, and hitomi will cover globe songs on the album. Today, the full tracklist for the album was released, adding on names such as Ayumi Hamasaki and HYDE. Several audio previews were also released on YouTube today. Hello!Project group C-ute is gearing up to release their 9th studio album “Cmaj9″ on December 23rd. It’s been well over two years since the C-utie Queens released a new album, and Cmaj9 is jammed packed with content to make up for it!
The album contains 19 songs and will be released in three editions. Limited edition A contains an entire concert filmed back in May at the LIQUIDROOM concert call. Limited Edition B contains three music videos, two of them are alternative versions of C-ute’s latest singles Arigataou ~Mugen no Yell~/Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight!! and the third is video for one of the new songs featured on the album “Iron Heart”. The regular edition features a bonus remix track by tofubeats.

Today, Fuji TV aired its year end music show, FNS Kayousai 2015. The show ran a little over 4 hours and was hosted by Chisato Moritaka and Watabe Ken. The show featured several popular acts, including Arashi, Kanjani8, Ayumi Hamasaki, SMAP, AKB48, MIYAVI, JUJU, and Nishino Kana. Check out FNS Kayousai 2015 after the jump!
“Johnny’s Countdown 2015-2016” will be broadcasted live by FUJI TV on December 31 (11:45 to 0:45) and the list of participating artists have been announced.
The Countdown Live is held annually at the Tokyo Dome. This will be the first time in 2 years for the program to be broadcasted live. Arashi will be hosting the Countdown and Hey! Say! JUMP will connect via live relay from their own countdown at Kyocera Dome.
FUJI TV is accepting requests for “What song do you want to hear?” and “Which two Johnnys do you want to see together?”. Voting is done via the program’s official website when it opens on December 3.

This week proved to be a success for 48 groups.
On the singles ranking, HKT48 feat. Kishidan takes the top spot with their latest single “Shekarashika!” (280,567 copies sold), outselling their previous single “12 byou” by roughly 3,000 copies. These first-week sales are a new personal record for the group.
It is worth noting that another 48 group, Love Crescendo from SKE48, took the #2 spot with “Koppu no Naka no Komorebi” (181,241 copies sold).
AKB48 managed to keep the #1 position on the album chart for the second week in a row with their best album “0 to 1 no Aida”, selling 42,268 copies. These second-week sales are a lot higher than their latest two studio albums, indicating that “0 to 1 no Aida” will probably have a longer life on the chart.
Actress Nikaido Fumi commemorates her turn from 20 to 21 years old via her latest photobook titled “near, far” which will be released on December 11. The shoot took place in New York this autumn and up-and- coming photographer Chad Moore took charge.

KAT-TUN’s Kamenashi Kazuya has been appointed as an endorser of the jewelry brand “Bijoude”. The TVCM titled “Bijoude : Tokimeki o Kanaderu” Edition started broadcasting nationwide on December 1.
The setting reflected an image of an apartment in Paris, during private time, with Kamenashi wearing a “Bijoude” bracelet, ring and necklace, sitting on the sofa while playing guitar.
The theme song for the CM is titled “Vanilla Kiss”, a solo song of Kamenashi. This is Kamenashi’s first time to represent a jewelry brand and have a CM tie-up song. The brand’s official website also had a renewal and opened on December 1. Check out the CM below.
