Kiko Mizuhara models for Nobuyoshi Araki x Supreme collaboration

Supermodel Kiko Muzukhara has been selected as the face for a collaboration between Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki and New York based street-wear brand “Supreme”. The theme for the collection is “Kinbaku”, a type of bondage originated in Japan. The collection features standard Supreme wear like hoodies and t-shirts, and also an exclusive zine featuring Kiko will also be including in the upcoming drop.

The collection will be released in Supreme stores on November 3rd, with the exception of Japan where it will be released on the 5th. Photos of the collection, as well as a BTS of the photoshoot can be seen below!

Sandaime J Soul Brothers, AKB48, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, and More Perform on Halloween Ongaku Matsuri 2016

Tonight, TBS aired this year’s Halloween Ongaku Matsuri! The show was hosted by the hosts of Good Time Music, Oikawa Mitsuhiro and Dream Ami. The show also featured a revived version of the iconic 70s / 80s music show The Best Ten. This portion of the show was hosted by the show’s original host, Kuroyanagi Tetsuko, along with Azumi Shinichiro. Halloween Ongaku Matsuri 2016 featured performances by the likes of Sandaime J Soul Brothers, AKB48, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, and more. Check it out below!

Suiyoubi no Campanella Parties in a Bowling Alley in “Aladdin” PV

On November 1, Suiyoubi no Campanella will release their new digital single, “SUPERKID.” A few days ago, the group released a music video for the instrumental version of the track “Aladdin.” That video is now gone, replaced with the music video for the full song! In this new video, frontwoman KOM_I plays a bored bowling alley worker who decides to have a bit of fun on the job. Some crazy things start happening when she rubs her lamp, which in this case, is a bowling ball. Speaking of rubbing, Suiyoubi no Campanella has launched a mobile-only special website in conjunction with this single. When visitors rub the lamp on the site, something magical happens! back number publish the details about their upcoming Compilation Album

In an earlier article we mentioned that pop-rock band back number would be releasing their first Best-Of album on December 28th.  Now the group have made all of the information about this special release, including its track list and additional content, available to the public.

The compilation album will be titled “Encore” and is set to be released in five different versions:  a Regular CD-Only edition, a Limited Edition A which will include either a DVD or Blu-ray disc which contains their full concert (plus behind the scenes footage) from Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 9-11 on June 19th, and a Limited Edition B (also in DVD or Blu-ray format) which will come packaged with an MV Collection and a series of acoustic studio lives.  In support of the release, back number will also be embarking on their “All Our Yesterdays” Arena Tour starting in February of next year.

Meet the Housemates of Terrace House: Aloha State!

Lately there has been a buzz in the air for the upcoming season Terrace House. Unlike the previous seasons that have taken place in Japan, the series production has been moved to Hawaii. And like the change in scenery we have a change in faces again. As mentioned in a previous article, Terrace House places 6 strangers in a house together for a month each season. This means new people and new personalities. Come meet the occupants of Terrace House: Aloha State!

YTV announces line-up for “Best Hits Kayousai 2016”

Today television network YTV unveiled the first wave of information about their annual year-end music show Best Hits Kayousai.  The program’s 2016 iteration will, like last year, be broadcast live from Osaka Festival Hall and hosted by newscaster Seiji Miyane, actor and singer Eiji Wentz, and model and actress Maki Nishiyama.

There will be 19 acts performing on the special’s stage, those participating ranging from popular vocal-and-dance group Sandaime J Soul Brothers, to well known pop band Ikimonogakari, to new idol sensation Keyakizaka46.  In addition, both KinKi Kids and Yuzu will be performing special medleys in order to celebrate their upcoming 20th anniversaries in 2017.
