Last year, NEWS presented “Koi wo Shiranai Kimi he” as the ultimate heart-wrenching love affair of one summer. Now, they are back it again with a new single “EMMA” to be released on February 8!
“EMMA” is described as a love story that intertwines the stoic American view of the world and adult charm. The title track will also serve as the opening theme song of an upcoming drama Kirawareru Yuuki (Courage to be Hated) starring NEWS’ Shigeaki Kato.
Another aspect of this single to look forward to, is the inclusion of two older tracks “Sakura Girl” and “I・ZA・NA・I・ZU・KI”. The two songs will be re-recorded versions with the 4 members.

In celebration for the 30th anniversary of popular game series “Street Fighter”, May’n is here to deliver some nostalgia as she covers “Itoshisa to Setsunasa to Kokoro Tsuyosa to”. The hit song from the 1994 “Street Fighter II MOVIE”, was originally performed by Ryoko Shinohara with t.kumuro. This time around, the track will be produced by JUVENILE, known for his involvement with Radio Fish‘s “Perfect Human”. The new cover will be used in “Ultra Street Figher 2”, for the Nintendo Switch.

On February 15, Ai Otsuka will release her first single in almost 3 years, “Watashi” (I). The gap is due to the fact that her previous album, “LOVE TRiCKY”, was not supported by any singles. “Watashi” is very likely to make an appearance on Otsuka’s next full-length, “LOVE HONEY”, that was confirmed by the singer-songwriter last year, although the tracklist is yet to be announced. “Watashi” is also the ending theme of the dorama “Kirawareru Yuuki” that started airing on January 12.
The single will be available in 4 versions and include the same two B-sides (“Sakura Harahara” and “Joshi Shelter”) regardless of the version. See all the covers and study what is known about the album so far under the cut.
