Watch EXILE’s new MV for “Melody”

Group EXILE is back for the second installment of their “EXILE FRIDAY” set of releases.

Back in February the group made a surprise return with the release of PARTY ALL NIGHT ~STAR OF WISH~, besides the new song they also shared plans for “EXILE FRIDAY”. On the first Friday of every month a new song and accompanying MV, produced by the members, will be released. This will go on until July, 2016.

Melody is a self-described as a refreshing melody with a comfortable beat, making it very easy to dance to. An “exhilarating pop tune that penetrates into the blue sky!”.

The MV was produced by EXILE members NAOTO, Alan Shirahama, and Mandy Sekiguchi. Shirahama plays the main character in the MV, who finds cheerfulness in everyday occurrences while walking down the street. Keep an eye out for cameo appearances from other EXILE members too!

Starting in the summer EXILE will embark on a dome tour titled “EXILE LIVE TOUR 2018” STAR OF WISH , further details are expected to be released shortly. The next song on “EXILE FRIDAY” will be released on April 8th, 2018.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Announces New Single “Kimi no Mikata” with Toned-Down Visual, New World Tour

Singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu will release the new single “Kimi no Mikata” on April 11th, coming over a year after her previous release “Easta“, natalie reports.

Kimi no Mikata” is a new song that producer Yasutaka Nakata presented to the singer as a gift at her birthday event “ASOBINITE !!! -KYARY PAMYU PAMYU BIRTHDAY SPECIAL-” held in January when she turned 25-years-old.

A shift stylistically from her trademark kawaii concept, the single’s more mature visuals were revealed in conjunction with release information, featuring the Harajuku songstress wearing a simple yellow dress and drawstring detailing with lace and clear gloves and dangling earrings.

Koda Kumi Joins Instagram, New Album Title Revealed

Hot off the heels of the release of her fourteenth studio album “AND” on February 28, pop diva Koda Kumi is NOT playing any games and already teasing her second release of her two-albums-in-2018 plan.

Before the end of 2018, fans can expect a true Koda Kumi experience with her fifteenth studio album entitled “DNA“. We love a conceptual queen playing with symmetry in the titles, she literally only has to mirror the covers and call it a day.

Shiina Ringo Tribute album featuring Utada Hikaru, AI, LiSA, Kaela Kimura and more out in May

2018 marks the year Shiina Ringo‘s illustrious career hits its big TWO ZERO. In tribute to the legendary artist, 13 prominent artists have provided covers of Ringo songs covering her entire catalog. The album comes out on May 23 and is entitled “Adam to Eve no Ringo“.

It also features a special unit (exclusive for this release) “The Urishama’s“, produced by long-term Ringo collaborator Seiji Kameda and featuring the likes of members of SPITZ, Mr. Children, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION and Ame no Parade.

m-flo Releases PV for the Theme Song of Iwata Takanori’s New Film

On March 7, the reunited m-flo will release their single “the tripod e.p.2.” When the reunion was first announced, it was announced that a new song had already been completed, “never.” m-flo has now released the music video for that song. “never” serves as the theme song for the Iwata Takanori film “Kyonen no Fuyu, Kimi to Wakare”, which opens in theaters on March 10. While the song’s lyrics are about love, it also expresses VERBAL and ☆Taku Takahashi’s thoughts on LISA rejoining m-flo. Check out the video below!

iri to Release New Album “Juice”

On February 28, iri will release her second album, “Juice.” Making the album with several different collaborators with several different sounds gave iri a fresh and energetic feeling, leading to the album’s title. Who did she work with on “Juice”? Names such as Tokyo Recording’s OBKR and Yaffle, WONK, Suiyoubi no Campanella’s Kenmochi Hidefumi, and Lucky Tapes’ Takahashi Kai. Besides new material from the names listed above, “Juice” will also contain material from iri’s previous releases.

“Juice” will come in a limited edition and a regular edition, the limited edition containing a DVD featuring live footage and music videos.

iri recently released the music video for album’s second track, “Corner.” The song was written by iri, composed by her, OBKR, and Yaffle, and arranged by the latter two. Check it out below, along with more information on iri’s new album!

This week, Hey! Say! JUMP topped the Hot 100 chart with their new single “Mae wo Muke.”

Sexy Zone topped the Hot Albums chart with their new album “XYZ=repainting.”

TWICE topped the Streaming Songs chart for the second consecutive week with “Candy Pop.”

Yonezu Kenshi topped the Download Songs chart with his new single “Lemon.”

The “Greatest Showman” soundtrack topped the Oricon digital album chart.

KOSE celebrates 21 years with Namie Amuro

Popular makeup brand KOSE is reflecting on their long history with diva Namie Amuro, most likely due to her pending retirement in September. In celebration of their relationship, they have created a special project called “NAMIE AMURO X KOSE ALL TIME BEST”.

The duos partnership began back in 1997, when Amuro was appointed the spokeswoman for their brand “visee”. The eyeliners and blush became an instant success for the company, with hordes of women buying the product to try and emulate Amuro’s style.
