SKY-HI has dropped the MV for Nani-Sama, one of the main promotional tracks of his upcoming album Best Catalyst -Collaboration Best Album-.
To star in the MV, he recruited none other than former idol Moga Magami. She plays the lead role of a “femme fatale” teacher, who makes life a little difficult for the student SKY-HI. The bold and distinct use of colors might remind many of works by lute Media, who actually had a hand in helping create the MV.
Best Catalyst -Collaboration Best Album- contains songs where SKY-HI collaborated with another artist, or he joined them for a feature bringing the tracklist count to 19. Miyavi, Miliyah Kato, SALYU, tofubeats, Czecho No Republic, and many more guests are on the jam-packed album.
The album will hit stores on March 21st, 2018 coming in three different versions. A CD only, CD+DVD, and CD+blu-ray. DVD and blu-ray will come with a full concert, the “SKY-HI Round A Ground 2017-2017.12.12 at TOYOSU PIT-“.

It has come to light that at 81 years old manga artist Shinichi Koga has passed away.
A legend in the Japanese horror manga genre, he is best known in Japan and worldwide for his series Eko Eko Azarak (The Wizard of Darkness). The series began it’s original run in September 1975, and concluded in March 1979 after 19 volumes.
The series has multiple live-action versions, with the first film version coming out in 1995. Six more films followed, with the last coming out in 2011. A drama series was released via TV TOKYO in 1997, and another in 2004. Finally, an animation for the series was created by Toei Animation. The OVA was released on January, 2007.
The plot of the story follows Misa, a star student and “idol” among her peers. As it turns out, she’s actually a young witch who goes from school to school using black magic to bring chaos and “brutal justice”. Her odd past is slowly revealed as the series goes on.
Koga died on March 1st due to an unmentioned illness, but it wasn’t updated on his official website until today, March 16th. His career began in 1958, and he has authored over 45 different series.

Singer Che’Nelle has just dropped the MV for Criminal, her latest digital single!
The MV was directed by Sam Brave, who has previously worked with the likes of Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, and Flo Rida. Criminal is sung fully in English, this smooth R&B number is sure to satisfy every Che’Nelle fan.
She’s currently enjoying the success of her last single Kiseki, which was selected to be the main theme of the film Tonight, At The Movies starring Haruka Ayase and Kentaro Sakaguchi. It hit Japanese theaters on February 10th, 2018 to rave reviews.

Self-produced visual kei band A9 (formerly known as Alice Nine) has released a new music video titled ‘UNREAL’. With ‘UNREAL’ the band continues their collaboration with L’arc-en-ciel’s guitarist Ken, who also produced A9’s previous single, ‘F+IX=YOU’. ‘UNREAL’ premiered at the band’s White Day live on March 10th, and on 16th it was uploaded to the band’s official YouTube channel. The song will serve as the ending theme for Nippon TV’s ‘Buzzrhythm 02’ during April.
In addition to releasing the video, the band also announced a new album and an upcoming tour. The album titled ‘Planet Nine’ will come out in two different versions on April 25th: a regular CD-only version and a limited CD+DVD version will be released. The album will consist of ten songs in total.
The new tour will have two legs, of which the first one is titled ‘Stairway to Moon’, and the second half is called ‘Stairway to Mars’. The tour starts in May and after 26 locations it culminates in Tokyo at their 14th anniversary live.

On 16th of March, it was reported that V6 member Go Morita and actress Rie Miyazawa had officially registered their marriage. Morita is the fourth member to marry, following in the footsteps of Yoshihiko Inohara, Junichi Okada and Hiroshi Nagano. This marks the first marriage for Morita, and the second for Miyazawa, who was previously married to a Hawaii-based surfer-turned-entrepreneur. She finalized the divorce in 2016 after seven years of marriage.
The marriage was announced through a report sent to the fanclub members, who have tweeted about the letters. The couple also released an official statement, in which they commented: “From here on, we would like to support and motivate each other as a family, while spending an enriching time together with care”.
According to Modelpress, Japanese netizens seem happy about the marriage. Netizens have congratulated the newlyweds, complimenting Miyazawa as “stunning”. Some proceeded to compliment all the V6 wives, saying all of them have a very luxurious feel to them.

Johnnys new group “King & Prince” held a debut event at Roponggi Hills Arena on March 15, where they announced that they will be releasing their debut single “Cinderella Girl” on May 23. The song was showcased for the first time infront of 1,000 cheerings fans at the event. Fitting for their group name, “King & Prince” arrived like royalty at the event via a black limousine and dressed in a white costume.
In January this year, their debut was announced slated for Spring under a new label “Johnny’s Universe”, the first label by Johnnys Jimusho and Universal Music. Since then, the group has been gaining steam. Their official fanclub was opened in the beginning of February and has so far reached over 100,000 members by the end of the month.
