On February 15, Suchmos released the digital single “808.” The song serves as the CM song for the Honda VEZEL. The band has now released the music video for the song, which sees them taking a more electronic turn. In the clip, the members of Suchmos travel to locations around the world, such as Shanghai and Los Angeles, in the Honda VEZEL.

This week, BiSH topped the Oricon single chart with their new single “PAiNT it BLACK”, selling 38,656 copies in its first week.

Sakanaction topped the Oricon album chart with their first best album “Sakana Zukan”, selling 72,591 copies in its first week.

Yonezu Kenshi topped the Oricon digital single chart for the seventh consecutive week with his single “Lemon”, selling 56,419 copies in its seventh week.

EMPiRE topped the Oricon digital album chart with their debut album “THE EMPiRE STRiKES START!!”, selling 8,541 copies in its first week.

Model and singer Mito Natsume recently celebrated the third anniversary of her debut single Maegami Kiri Sugita. But those who are hoping for more music releases from the Asobisystem star might be in for disappointment.

Natsume recently took to twitter, where she made a tweet thanking her fans for the continued support. She revealed that her record label contract with Sony Music has come to an end, and was thankful for the opportunity to create 11 music videos during her tenure.

When Natsume’s music debut was announced in February 2015, fans and some press instantly compared her to Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. Both of them started out as successful harajuku models, both are managed by Asobisystem, and both of their music are fully produced by capsule member Yasutaka Nakata.

Hello!Project group Juice=Juice has released new MVs for their upcoming single, a triple a-side titled SEXY SEXY / Naite Ii yo / Vivid Midnight.

This is the girls 10th major single overall, and their very first single with the groups new set of members. Nanami Yanagawa, who is also a member of Country Girls, and Ruru Danbara. The single will be released in 7 versions overall. Four CD+DVDs and three CD onlys, a special limited edition boxset containing all the versions will be sold at select retailers.

SEXY SEXY is the lead a-side for this single, the lyrics and composition were provided by H!P’s father Tsunku. Vivid Midnight’s lyrics were written by longtime H!P collaborator Ameko Kodama, while the composition was handled by South Korean music producer SEION.

SEION has previously worked with the likes of Davichi, Apink, CLC, and Girl’s Day. Her collobration with Juice=Juice marks the very first time she’s worked for a Japanese group.

Kenshi is back again this week, facing off against a newcomer and a blast from the past. Get your first look at the highly anticipated face off between Kimura Takuya and Ninomiya Kazunari in the movie “Kensatsugawa no Zainin” (Killing for the Prosecution). The first poster visual is out and the 30 secs teaser trailer heads straight on to a confrontation scene between Kimura and Ninomiya who both play public prosecutors in the movie.

This suspense film is based on the 2013 novel of by Shizukui Shusuke and will be directed by Harada Masato (Japan’s Longest Day, Kakekomi, Sekigahara). The poster visual was taken by Araki Nobuyoshi on September 1, 2017, 2 days before crank up. He commented that “Tension is born by the two of them standing together” during the shoot. The film will be released on August 24.
