On September 12, Nishino Kana will release her new single, “Bedtime Story.” The song serves as the theme song for the movie “3D Kanojo Real Girl”, which opens in theaters on September 14. The music video for “Bedtime Story” has now been released! Being literal with the title, the music video revolves around a bedtime story. This story tells the tale of two rabbits who fall in love. On September 17, MUSIC STATION ULTRA FES 2018 will air. The first three sets of acts were previously announced, and now the fourth and final set has been revealed! It includes names such as Hoshino Gen, DA PUMP, YOSHIKI, and HYDE. See who else was added below!

The winners of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards Japan have been announced! Hoshino Gen topped the awards, winning two trophies. There were also two special awards given out: Daichi Miura won Artist of the Year, while Utada Hikaru’s “Hatsukoi” won Best Album of the Year.

On October 10, the big prize, Best Video of the Year, will be handed out at MTV VMAJ 2018 -THE LIVE-. The Best Video of the Year award will be voted on by viewers online from among the winners of the other regular categories. Voting is now open here and will run until September 25 at noon JST.

Anne-Marie, DEAN FUJIOKA, E-girls, Keyakizaka46, Little Glee Monster, Daichi Miura, Official HIGE DANdism, and SKY-HI will perform at MTV VMAJ 2017 -THE LIVE-.

Earlier today singer/songwriter Kenshi Yonezu announced that he will be releasing a brand new Double A-side single on October 31st.  The first sign of new music since the release of his smash hit “Lemon”, Kenshi’s latest single will be titled “Flamingo / TEENAGE RIOT” and will include an additional track as a B-side.

“Flamingo / TEENAGE RIOT” is set to be released in three different versions, with the “Flamingo” Edition to include an Omake DVD and a smartphone ring, while the “Teenage” Edition will come packaged with a set of dice.  Further details about the contents of these versions will be posted as they are made available.

Following several years of silence, popular singer/songwriter Mariya Takeuchi has announced that she will be releasing a new single on October 17th.  In addition, to celebrate her upcoming 40th Anniversary, a remastered version of her debut album “BEGINNING” will be released on November 21st, with further remasters to follow.

The single, a Double A-side release titled “Chiisana Negai / Ima wo Ikiyou (Seize the Day)”, will feature two new songs and two covers, for four tracks in total.  “Chiisana Negai” will be used as the theme song for the upcoming film “Ai Ai Gasa”, while “Ima wo Ikiyou (Seize the Day)” has been selected as the theme song for Fall drama “Nukemairu ~Onna Sannin Ise Mairi”.
