Singer Aimer’s latest single has been released digitally worldwide!
Her triple a-side release “Black Bird/Tiny Dancers/Omoide wa Kireide” was originally released domestically on September 7th. It instantly debuted at #1 on the Oricon digital charts, and hit the top 5 on the standard Oricon charts.
Last month we reported that popular rock band Mr.Children would be releasing their latest studio album “Juuryoku to Kokyuu” on October 3rd. Now that this date has arrived, the group has chosen to release not only one, but two full-size music videos for lead track “Your Song,” as well as the Short PV for album song “SINGLES.”
The normal PV for “Your Song” features the members’ first appearance in a music video in nearly four years, while the “Original Story” variant stars young actors Kento Hayashi and Honoka Murakami. SINGLES’ music video, meanwhile, features an appearance by another pair of young actors, Kai Inowaki and Junko Abe.
You’ll find all three of these MVs, as well as an additional teaser for the album right after the jump.
Yesterday well-known alternative rock band THE YELLOW MONKEY announced that they would be transferring labels to Warner Music Japan’s ATLANTIC JAPAN imprint. This move comes with a worldwide distribution deal, and the group have confirmed that all of their previously released singles and albums will become available internationally in November.
Additionally, it has also been revealed that the band’s new song “Tentoumushi” has been picked up as the theme song for upcoming FujiTV drama “Ten: Tenhou-doori no Kaidanji.” “Tentoumushi” is described as an edgy rock tune that will be a perfect match for this high-stakes adaptation of author Nobuyuki Fukumoto’s mahjong-centric manga.
While no details regarding the track’s release have been announced, you can find a radio-rip of “Tentoumushi” below.
It was recently announced that Shiina Ringo’s new song “Kemono Yuku Hosomichi” would be the new theme song for Nippon TV’s news program “news zero” as of October 1. Ringo said that the song was a collaboration, but she didn’t reveal who with. When “Kemono Yuku Hosomichi” debuted on today’s episode, it was revealed that the song is a duet with Elephant Kashimashi’s Miyamoto Hiroji.
While writing “Kemono Yuku Hosomichi”, Ringo realized that it lent itself well to Hiroji, leading her work with him for the first time. She also thought it would just be fun for the two of them to collaborate.
“Kemono Yuku Hosomichi” is set for digital release on October 2. Ringo has now released the video for the song, which can be seen below, along with the digital single’s cover!
