ZOMBIE-CHANG Kidnaps a Man in “Switch” MV

On May 11, ZOMBIE-CHANG will release her fifth album, “STRESS de STRESS.” This is her first album since August 2020’s “TAKE ME AWAY FROM TOKYO.” ZOMBIE-CHANG’s new album sees her further exploring the electronic club sound from her previous one.

“STRESS de STRESS” will come in a CD+Goods limited edition and a CD only regular edition. The goods that come with the limited edition is a branded clear PVC tote containing six rolls of toilet paper. The toilet paper features photos of ZOMBIE-CHANG and the album’s lyrics. The album in the limited edition comes in a special box.

In tandem with the release of her new album, ZOMBIE-CHANG has released the music video for its opener, “Switch.” The pulsating electronic song is, as hinted in the title, dedicated to the Nintendo Switch. The song even sees her singing various video game titles. In the music video, ZOMBIE-CHANG seduces a man at club, takes him home, and then holds him hostage. See what else happens below!

This week, Naniwa Danshi topped the Combined Single chart with their new single “The Answer / Sachiare”, with 540,955 points in its first week.

Last Idol topped the Combined Album chart with their debut / final album “Last Album”, with 61,717 points in its first week.

Naniwa Danshi also topped the Single chart with “The Answer / Sachiare”, selling 535,465 copies in its first week.

Last Idol also topped the Album chart with “Last Album”, selling 61,626 copies in its first week.

BE:FIRST topped the Digital Single chart with their new digital single “Betrayal Game”, selling 21,345 copies its first week.

THE ORAL CIGARETTES topped the Digital Album chart with their new digital EP “Bullets Into The Pipe”, selling 1,009 copies in its first week.

BE:FIRST also topped the Streaming chart with “Betrayal Game”, with 9,047,587 streams in its first week.

Reiwa Artists Pick the Top 30 Heisei Songs on “KanJam Kanzennen SHOW” for May 6

On May 6, “KanJam Kanzennen SHOW” aired a two hour special dedicated to Reiwa artists picking their top 30 songs of the Heisei era. The show sent a questionnaire to 48 young musicians who are active today, with an average age of 25.8. These artists included the likes of Aimer, yama, Chanmina, and Ohara Sakurako.

Topping the list was Utada Hikaru‘s 1998 debut single “Automatic.” It was followed by Kirinji‘s “Aliens” from 2000. Rounding out the top three was Southern All Stars’ 1990 hit “Manatsu no Kajitsu.” Check out the rest of the top 30 below!

Ayumi Hamasaki Defends Fan From Transphobic Comment

Party Queen Ayumi Hamasaki is currently enjoying the release of her latest digital single “Nonfiction released on April 22nd, 2022. To help promote the single Ayu encouraged fans to do a special social media challenge. In the MV Ayu is seen strutting down a pink room, and for the challenge fans simply need to do the sassy strut themselves.

Since the MV has been released Ayu has shared videos of fans from all around the world doing their own strut. After recently reposting a fan video an anonymous hater had something to say about it, sending Ayu a not-so-nice message.
