This week, Poppin’Party topped the Combined Single chart with their new single “Initial / Yume wo Uchinuku Shunkan ni!”, with 32,981 points in its first week.

Kimura Takuya topped the Combined Album chart with his debut solo album “Go with the Flow”, with 126,831 points in its first week.

Poppin’Party also topped the Single chart with “Initial / Yume wo Uchinuku Shunkan ni!”, selling 27,164 copies in its first week.

Official HIGE DANdism retook the top spot on the Digital Single chart with their single “Pretender”, selling 26,757 copies in its 37th week, and topping the chart for the fourth non-consecutive week .

We’re back with this week’s edition of Oricon Flashback! This is the first edition of the new year! This year we will be looking back on what topped the charts in 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, and 2015. Think of it as a way to reminisce and learn about the past of Japanese music.

Last October, Hoshino Gen released his digital EP “Same Thing.” He has now released the music video for “Ain’t Nobody Know”, his collaboration with Tom Misch. The video features an array of visuals, but focuses on three couple, two of which happen to be same-sex couples. Check it out below!

On January 22, iri will release her new single, “24-25.” She recently turned 25 and her new song is seen as a positive anthem for strong women.

“24-25” will also include the song “SUMMER END”, which served as the theme song for the Abema TV program “Renai Drama na Koi ga Shitai ~Kiss to survive~”, as well as a Seiho remix of iri’s 2019 song “Wonderland.”

The single will be released in three editions: CD+T-shirt, CD only, and a 7-inch vinyl.
