King & Prince topped the Hot Album chart with their new album “L&.”

YOASOBI retook the top spot on the Streaming Songs chart with their digital single “Yoru ni Kakeru”, topping the chart for the 14th non-consecutive week.

YOASOBI also topped the Download Songs chart with their new digital single “Gunjou.”

Yonezu Kenshi topped the Download Albums chart for the fifth consecutive week with his album “STRAY SHEEP.”

Girl group Perfume debuted the MV for their latest single “Time Wrap” last week, but to the dismay of many J-pop fans it was the dreaded “short ver.” Luckily, not too long ago the girls announced that the full MV would be making it’s YouTube debut very shortly!

The MV takes place in a vibrantly colored space with, the members of Perfume interact with shadowed men who also serve as backup dancers. “Time Warp” was directed by Yusuke Tanaka who has previously worked with Namie Amuro, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, and CHAI among others.

Tanaka also previously worked with Perfume for 5 other MVs including “Spring of Life” and “Spending all my time”.

avex superstar in the making Kalen Anzai has returned to the scene with a brand new single and MV called “GAL-TRAP“, her 6th digital single overall. A song sees another big change in sound for Anzai compared to her last single “Bokura wa Tsuyoku Nareru”.

In the MV an autotuned Anzai sings in a stark white museum. Various clones of herself can be seen around the area while she interacts with a bunch of random colored objects. Check out the full MV below!

BENI is currently celebrating her 15th anniversary! She kicked off this celebration earlier this year by release releasing two digitial singles, “Yumeiro Biyori” and “HAPPY.” These two songs will be included on her new EP, “Y/our Song”, out September 16.

“Y/our Song” sees BENI collaborating with SUNNY BOY and Kawatani Enon. Enon was, in fact, BENI’s first choice to work on this release. Upon first hearing the demo of his song for her, “Dakedo Hanate”, she described it as “fashionable chaos.”

This phrase extends to the song’s recently released music video. In it, BENI plays dress up, but is still her true self in the end. Check out below!

YOASOBI also retook the top spot on the Streaming chart with their digital single “Yoru ni Kakeru”, with 5,553,562 streams in its 21st week in the chart’s top 10, topping the chart for the 14th non-consecutive week.

Oricon has made an exciting announcement regarding their official streaming charts! Officially beginning on September 14th, 2020 they will start allowing streams from both YouTube and YouTube Music to count towards their rankings.

YouTube / YouTube Music now joins a plethora of other streaming services that count towards the chart such as Apple Music, AWA, KKBOX, LINE MUSIC, and Rakuten Music. The tracking will differ depending on if you have a standard or premium YouTube account.
