Hope you’re enjoying ARAMA! JAPAN so far. I’m excited to introduce the very first open post. In these posts you can chat about anyone and anything, let’s all get to know each other!

For those who remember aramatheydidnt’s FFA it’s basically the same thing. Due to time zones it’s difficult for everyone to participate when it’s only posted once during the week and roughly the same time. We plan to have these weekly, possibly more often in the future!

A recent thread on Girls Channel is amassing quite a few adorable stories about the chats people have when they run into celebrities completely by accident.

Popular singer Tomomi Kahara (39) recently revealed at a blood drive awareness event at Budokan in Tokyo that her blood type is in fact type O, not A.

Kahara discovered this when she had blood donated in Shibuya when she was 36. When Kahara was born, there may have been a mixup with her mother’s blood, as she was identified at the time as type A.

Kahara said “I had been living 36 years as a type A, and I wondered ‘What’s going to happen to me?’ as I became really depressed on the Yamanote train going home.”

“I was able to find my true blood type through donating, so I hope everyone donates too.”

MUSIC JAPAN has revealed its line-up for the next episode on July 13th!

The show will not be on air next Monday (July 7th) as normally scheduled, but will be returning with a great set list from a variety of artists.

In a surprise move ahead of the single’s July 16th release date, Perfume‘s new song  ‘Cling Cling’ was released today via iTunes, Recochoku and Amuse Mobile DX. The trio previously teased a short version of the track on their radio show Perfume LOCKS! last week, drawing some comparisons among fans to the similarly Yasutaka Nakata (CAPSULE)-produced Kyary Pamyu Pamyu for its quirky, Asian-inspired sound.  Give the full version a listen below:

Singer-songwriter Leo Ieiri will be providing the image song for the upcoming Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale 2014 exhibition!

The art exhibition features art from 21 countries around the world and features a different theme each year. This is the 5th Fukuoka Triennale, this time operating under the theme of “Panorama of the Next World: Breaking Out into the Future”.

Ieiri was chosen to provide the image song for the event since she is a Fukuoka native. The song (title TBA) will be produced by Yoshihiko Nisho, who’s produced the likes of other popular female singer-songwriters such as Ayaka and YUI in the past. The Fukuoka Triennale will feature the song, which is themed after the same central idea as the rest of the exhibition, in commercials for the event.

I’m Leo Ieiri, who will be singing the image song for The 5th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale 2014. I go to art museums a lot on my off days. I feel that museums are places where you can experience the full gamut of human emotions in a single place. Since the Fukuoka art museum is where I’m from, I hope to express my love and deep feelings for Fukuoka. I’m going to work hard to make it a song that will make you all want to go to a museum, so please look forward to its release

Girl group AKB48 released the photo book we’ve all been waiting for, ‘AKB48 no Inu Kyoudai‘, on June 30th, meaning CUTE GIRL WITH CUTE DOG PICS GALORE.

The book is literally just a bunch of pictures of some of the members with dogs, including shots from when they were shooting their latest music video for ‘Labrador Retriever’, pictures of Haruka “Paruru” Shimazaki with her beloved dog, a cute “day in the life of” with Minami Takahashi and a dog, and more.
