PARKGOLF to Release First New Album in Nearly 4 Years

On April 14, PARKGOLF will release his new album, “Totem.” This is his first album since August 2017’s “REO.” The ten songs on the “Totem” feature sounds ranging from synth pop to new age. Collaborators on the album include SUSHIBOYS, Okamoto Emi, GOODMOODGOKU, and the Taiwanese rapper Mizu Mizu Mizu98.

In conjuction with the release of “Totem”, PARKGOLF has released the music video for his SUSHIBOYS collaboration, “Lumos Makishima.” One of the stars of the video is the totem which is features on the album’s cover. Check it out below, along with more information on PARKGOLF’s new album!

This week, NiziU topped the Hot 100 single chart with their new digital single “Take a picture”, with 13,375 points.

TREASURE topped the Hot Albums chart with their debut album “THE FIRST STEP:TREASURE EFFECT.”

YOASOBI topped the Artist 100 chart for the third consecutive week.

Ayase topped the Hot 100 Lyricists chart for the sixth consecutive week.

Ayase also topped the Hot 100 Composers chart for the 15th consecutive week.

NiziU also topped the Streaming Songs chart with “Take a picture.”

BTS topped the Download Songs chart with their new digital single “Film out.”

Morning Musume. ’21 topped the Download Albums chart with their new album “16th ~That’s J-POP~.”

King & Prince Dances in a Digital World in “Beating Hearts” MV

On May 19, King & Prince will release their 7th single, “Title TBD / Beating Hearts.” While not much is known about the first A-side currently, the second A-side serves as the CM song for UHA Mikakuto’s “Puccho” candy. King & Prince appears in the commercial dancing to the song.

The music video for “Beating Hearts” was just released. The video features the group in a completely CGI-created world, a first for them. In certain parts of the video, the members multiply! Check it out below, along with more information on their new single!

This week, NiziU topped the Combined Single chart with their new digital single “Take a picture”, with 53,611 points in its first week.

TREASURE topped the Combined Album chart with their debut album “THE FIRST STEP:TREASURE EFFECT”, with 58,974 points in its first week.

Jaejoong topped the Single chart with his new single “BREAKING DAWN (Japanese Ver.)”, selling 38,352 copies in its first week.

TREASURE also topped the Album chart with “THE FIRST STEP:TREASURE EFFECT”, with 56,723 points in its first week.

BTS topped the Digital Single chart with their new digital single “Film out”, selling 32,947 copies its first week.

Morning Musume. ’21 topped the Digital Album chart with their new album “16th ~That’s J-POP~”, selling 3,442 copies in its first week.

NiziU also topped the Streaming chart with “Take a picture”, with 12,514,374 streams in its first week.

Singer Hikaru Utada has a released a teaser for her latest digital single titled “PINK BLOOD“. The song will serve as the official theme for the NHK anime series “To Your Eternity“, this is the very first time Hikki has provided a theme song for an anime television series.

“To Your Eternity” is based off of the manga series by Yoshitoki Oima, it is currently being published in the popular magazine “Weekly Shonen”. To celebrate the broadcasting of the series, a special teaser for “PINK BLOOD”s MV was released on YouTube.

New idol group ASP announce debut album “ANAL SEX PENiS”

ASP is the latest group from the artist collective WACK, most known for their groups BiS and BiSH. They have continually made headlines for their more “alternative” approach to idols, and their latest group continues with that trend. ASP was formed in March 2021, and stands for “ANAL SEX PENiS” which is also the name of their debut album.

ASP was formed at the end of the “WACK AUDiTiTION CAMP 2021”. The group currently consists of 4 members, their full face has yet to be revealed.
