We’re back with this week’s edition of Oricon Flashback. This is where we look back on what topped the charts this week 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years ago. Think of it as a way to reminisce and learn about the past of Japanese music.

A live-action drama series for the popular manga “Hakozume: Koban Josshi no Gyakushu” has been announced! Leading the show will be Erika Toda and Mei Nagano, and is set to begin airing on Nippon TV beginning in July.

The manga series made it’s debut in November 2017 in the weekly Seinen manga magazine Moring. It quickly became a success with the first volume coming out in April 2018. The series went on to win the prestigious “Shogakukan Manga Award”, taking home the top “general” award for 2021.

On April 23, SALU released a new digital single, “LOVE DREAM HAPPINESS.” The title of the song stems from the initials of the label he is currently on, LDH Records. The song is born from a question SALU asked himself: Who should I thank for being able to do this now?

SALU recently released the music video for “LOVE DREAM HAPPINESS.” In the video, SALU surprises a fan who was randomly selected from his fan club and then spends the day with her. Check it out below!

Avex group FAKY is back on the scene with another new digital single titled “HappyEverAfter“, this is the groups 2nd digital single of the year. For this track the lyrics were written by FAKY member Lil’Fang.

“HappyEverAfter” is a mid-tempo pop track quite fitting for the Spring season. In the MV the girls can be seen in various settings all around Tokyo looking melancholy. A cafe, relaxing at home, taking the bus, and wandering the streets. Check out the full MV on FAKY’s official YouTube channel below:
