the dresscodes sings a somber lullaby in his Music Video for “Hanareteiru”

Last month we reported that alternative project the dresscodes would be releasing a new studio album titled “Beyer” on June 16th. Now that this date has drawn closer, a music video for the record’s lead track “Hanareteiru” has been uploaded to YouTube.

This clip, directed by UMMMI., pairs the classical piano-inspired track with an almost dreamlike sequence of shots. Children play in a grassy field as an older couple on motor scooters glide past, Shima himself performing on piano in the background.

You’ll find the full version of this eerie, yet poignant music video right after the jump.

It will be issued in three versions, with the Limited Edition and Fan Club Edition each to include a DVD containing a different live performance.
