Haru cast in NHK’s next Asadora drama “Asa ga Kita”

Haru was chosen to star in NHK’s next Asadora (morning) drama titled “Asa ga Kita” (Here Comes the Morning) in Autumn. On March 12, she attended the press conference for the drama. Haru comments with enthusiasm “I want to become a heroine who will be able to radiate an energetic morning to the audience”.

She was selected among the 2,590 applicants for the role. This is her fourth time auditioning for an Asadora. She previously auditioned for Teppan (2010), Jun to Ai (2012)  and Amachan (2013).

“Asa ga Kita” is set at the end of the Edo period. It depicts the life of businesswoman Asa Hirooka who entered into various business fields including, banks, life insurance and coal mines. She also becomes the founder of Japan’s first women’s university.

The drama will start airing on September 28.

Sawajiri Erika Joins Aiba Masaki in “Youkoso, Waga Ie e” drama

It was previously announced that Arashi‘s Aiba Masaki will be starring in Fuji TV’s drama “Youkoso, Waga Ie e” (Welcome to my home). The drama will be Aiba’s debut in the “Getsu 9” timeslot. Based from the original novel of Ikeido Jun (Hanzawa Naoki, Roosevelt Game), “Youkoso, Waga Ie e” is a suspense drama about Kurata Kenta (Aiba), a commercial designer who became a target of stalker after warning a man from jumping queue at train station.

It was also revealed on Friday that Sawajiri Erika will be joining the cast and playing Aiba‘s heroine. Aiba’s character will strike an unusual partnership with Sawajiri. Sawajiri plays the role of a cute female magazine reporter who is chasing a stalker. Sawajiri’s character is not in the original novel and this is the first time that the two will work together.

Aiba plays the eldest son. Completing the Kurata family, are: Terao Akira (father), Minami Kaho (mother), and Arimura Kasumi (younger sister). All members of the family will have to confront the fear from relentless harassment of an unknown stalker. The drama will air this April.

MTV81 Interviews AKLO

MTV81 recently interviewed rapper AKLO. In this 2 part English-subbed interview, he discusses his upbringing in Mexico, Japan, and the US, how he first encountered hip hop, his language usage, and the state of the Japanese hip hop scene, among other things. The interview features clips from a concert he dud in support of his 2014 album “The Arrival.” It also features interview clips with fellow rappers SALU, K DUB SHINE, KREVA and JAZEE MINOR speaking about AKLO.

KAT-TUN delivers passionate Latin Pop tune in “KISS KISS KISS” music video

Check out the music video for KAT-TUN’s new single titled “KISS KISS KISS”. Their latest offering is described as a passionate Latin music-style pop number. The single dropped last March 11.

Currently used as theme song for member Kamenashi Kazuya’s drama “Second Love”. the lyrics are laced with double meanings. Shots of the individual dances woven as one is also featured in the music video.

The single also includes a new project called “Shuffle KAT-TUN”. It features the new duet songs written by the members- “Kirarito” by Taguchi Junnosuke and Nakamaru Yuichi / “Arigatou” by Kamenashi Kazuya and Ueda Tatsuya. It also includes a DVD documentary footage of the production process for the project.
