On April 29, Perfume is set to release their new single, “Relax In The City / Pick Me Up.” Today, the group released the music video for the single’s second A-side. “Pick Me Up” is part of Perfume’s collaboration with the department store Isetan. This collaboration revolves around the concept of “digital x fashion x sound.” In the video, the ladies wear outfits designed by emerging Japanese designers chosen by Isetan as part of its “JAPAN NEW POWER” initiative. The outfits will be on display in Isetan’s Shinjuku flagship store from April 1 – 14. These outfits are also available for purchase. Also available for purchase are a pair of high heels that Perfume collaborated with Isetan on. These shoes are specially designed to be danced in. They go on sale April 1.
Perfume also recently released a video trailer that goes into further detail about the Relax Room Edition of their new single. You can see that video along with the music video after the jump!
They had the chicken dance for “Ai no Beat”, now dance group Kis-My-Ft2 is back with a penguin dance for their latest single Kiss魂 (Kiss Damashii). The rock and dance number is the CM song for glico’s Watering KISSMINT. The single dropped last March 25.

The duo DREAMS COME TRUE will be releasing their second BEST cover album “Watashi to Dorikamu 2 – Dorikamu Wonderland 2015 Kaisaikinen Best Covers” on April 1. It features 14 different artists: May J., Nishiuchi Mariya, Miura Daichi, LiSA, JUNHO from 2PM, Katahira Rina, Chris Hart, NICO Touches the Walls, Oomori Seiko, Little Glee Monster, Kawabata Kaname, JUJU, MONGOL800, and Tokunaga Hideaki.

The full music video is out for NMB48’s new single “Don’t Look Back”. The song is described as a fast rockish track and features graduating member Yamada Nana. This is the first time Yamada gets solo center for a single, after being co-conter with Yamamoto Sayaka on the group’s second single “Oh My God!”. She is scheduled to graduate on April 3, her birthday.
The single will be released on March 31, also the same day SKE48 releases their new single.
On May 6, up and coming indie band Frederic will release their 3rd mini album “OWARASE NIGHT.” This release comes about 8 months after the release of their major label debut mini album “oddloop.” Ahead of the release of “OWARASE NIGHT”, the band has released the music video for the mini album’s title track. The video is a continuation of the music video for the title track off their last mini album. Both the song and music video for “OWARASE NIGHT” are energetic and fresh. Rapper SALU has released the music video for his remix of the song “Shell Shocked.” His version features vocals by R&B singer aico. The original “Shell Shocked” is a song by American rappers Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa, and Ty Dolla $ign. It was part of the soundtrack for last year’s movie “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” SALU’s version of the song includes many references to Japan’s current pop culture. References in the song include Sakanaction, ONE OK ROCK, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Kiko Mizuhara, Rola, and KOHH. The video is also creatively subbed in English. Sandaime J Soul Brothers will be releasing 2 new singles in April, one on the 15th and another the following week on the 22nd. The first April single is titled “starting over.” “starting over” is a piano-driven ballad. It is the theme song for the group’s tour “Sandaime J Soul Brothers LIVE TOUR 2015 BLUE PLANET.” The single out on April 22 is titled “STORM RIDERS.” It features SLASH, the former guitarist for the legendary American rock band Guns N’ Roses. “STORM RIDERS” is an upbeat song with a rock edge. Today, the group release a short trailer for the music video for “STORM RIDERS.” That can be seen after the jump. These singles’ covers and tracklists are also there along with radio rips of each song.
