Lotte recently released a pair of commercials for its Ghana line of chocolate bars featuring champion figure skaters Mao Asada and Yuzuru Hanyu. In the clips, Mao and Yuzuru each see an image of themselves on the ice, and encourage them to persevere when it looks like they may give up.
Lotte also released “SKATING FOR YOU” videos for each skater. In these clips, Mao and Yuzuru are shown skating from a 360° perspective, giving viewers the feeling that the skaters are performing around them.
In related news, Mao also stars in the new commercial for cold medicine Stona. The clip has a white swan versus black swan concept. In the CM, the white swan version of Mao finds her sister, figure skater Mai Asada, unconscious, covered in black feathers. Mao then engages in a battle with the black swan version of herself, mimicking the battle between the medicine and the illness.
