There are officially 3 years until Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, and idol group Momoiro Clover Z are seizing the opportunity with athletic-themed single “BLAST!“.

The music video for “BLAST!” was filmed as a fictitious sports festival “Fukaya 2020” and has the group members participating in various activities, featuring athletes and coaches who are known mononofu—superfans of Momoclo!

For Judo Open Weight, leader Kanako Momota faces Judo World Champion Kanae Yamabe. Ayaka Sasaki is coached by weightlifting Olympian Hiromi Miyake for her Women’s Weightlifting Match. Shiori Tamai is faced against Olympian Karin Miyawaki in Women’s Foil Gold Medal Match for fencing. Reni Takagi and Momoka Ariyasu, coached by professional figure skater Nobunari Oda, team up for a women’s Doubles Gold Medal Match in Ping Pong.
