The excitement around hip hop continued into 2018, especially in the indie scene, where many young, talented artists exist. As opposed to 2017, Korean music was of note in 2018. I encountered many interesting artists while going to Korean clubs and live houses. lute held a showcase of Korean music in Japan in 2018, and I hope that the two countries can continue to build a relationship through music.
