Last year, Shukan Bunshun reported that influencer / model Loveli sexually assaulted a woman while on a work trip with her. On March 31 of this year, the case was dropped due to lack of evidence. During an interview with a magazine the following month, the victim said that she was preparing for a civil trial.
On Twitter earlier today, it was announced by the victim’s lawyers that her and Loveli have agreed to a settlement.
The published settlement statement states that:
From around 4:30 AM to around 6:40 AM on May 3, 2019, Loveli performed obscene acts such as licking A-san’s pubic area and inserting her finger into A-san’s vagina. Regarding this incident, we have obtained consent from Loveli regarding the following points, such as the fact that the incident happened, so we will announce it.
- Loveli apologized to A-san over this incident
- The incident happened
- At the time of the incident, Loveli and A-san only had a business relationship, and were not friends nor lovers
- During the course of the settlement negotiations, which took place during the investigation, Loveli offered A-san compensation
The victim’s testimony is now recognized as fact, resulting in the settlement.
