Last month we reported that alternative rockers Base Ball Bear would be releasing their eighth studio record “Kougen” on April 12th. Now that the date has finally arrived, the trio have uploaded the PV for the album’s lead track “Subete wa Kimi no Sei de” to their official Youtube channel.
This music video was directed by Tomokazu Yamada and stars actress Tsubasa Honda, who previously appeared in the group’s PVs for “PERFECT BLUE” and “short hair”. The video splits our attention between Honda and the band, both of whom are suspended 25 meters in the air on a pair of high rider platforms, granting us a brilliant view of Shinjuku’s nighttime lights as the camera moves between the two.

This week up-and-coming band LAMP IN TERREN will be releasing their third major album “fantasia“. While they’ve already revealed a music video for “Namidaseigun no Yoru“, the group have decided to put out another PV to celebrate the record’s release, this time for its second song “Chikyuugi”.
The video for this positive, dance-oriented number was directed by Yuta Sekiyama and features performance scenes which have been overlapped with images of everyday life, courtesy of projectors placed behind the camera. Of note, with the release of this PV, five of the ten songs on “fantasia” have music videos available on Youtube.

Another new avex trax soloist is here! Beverly hopes to make her mark in the J-pop industry with the release of her debut studio album “AWESOME”.
What sets Beverly apart from other young singers her age are the vocals. On her official profile it states that she can reach the difficultly high “5A”. After winning various amateur singing contests in the U.S, and training with the famous composer Vehnee Saturno she eventually landed in Japan. At the annual a-nation event Beverly was appointed as the “Shooting act”, basically the name for a new artist to look out for. She received a very positive reaction from the crowd, which lead to her being included on Disney’s ” Magical Pop Christmas”.
Beverly’s big break came when her song “I need your love” was used in the Fuji drama “CRISIS” starring Shun Oguri and Hidetoshi Nishijima. “AWESOME” will be released on May 31st, 2017. Covers, tracklist, and the videos for “I need your love” + “Tell Me Baby” can be seen below!

Top stars Masami Nagasawa and Issei Takahashi will be playing a couple in the upcoming movie “Uso wo aisuru onna”. The film will be released next year and serves as the directorial debut (for a feature film) for Kazuhito Nakae, who is most known for his CM work.
The plot is a mixture of a love story and mystery drama, Masami plays the role of “Yukari Kawahara”, a busy career woman who lives with her boyfriend Kippei Koide (Issei Takahashi) who is a medical intern. They have been living together for the past 5 years and plan to marry very soon.
One day Kippei suddenly collapses due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage which leads to him slipping into a coma. Eventually the police come knocking on her door, and she finds out everything she knew about Kippei has been a lie. His Japanese identity card, name, and even occupation were all faked. Yukari decides to head to Kippei’s hometown located near the Seto Inland Sea in hopes of finding some answers. She’s aided by private detective Takumi Kaibara (Kotaro Yoshida). “Uso wo aisuru onna’s” producer explained that they wanted to showcase the strength of a successful career woman. One moment she’s in Louboutins at the office, the next she’s in sneakers trying to solve the mystery of her boyfriend’s identity.
Masami and Issei have a very long professional history together. In 2004 they starred in the film “Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu”, and they also started in the creative dTV CM campaign where they play a married couple, but the wife lives in space and the husband lives in Tokyo. This new collaboration is sure to cause a lot of attention.

Hello!Project’s resident cutie queens °C-ute have announced the release of their final album, a best album titled “°Complete Single Collection”. The album will contain every single starting with their debut indie “Massara Blue Jeans” to their most recent triple a-side “To Tomorrow / Final Squall / The Curtain Rises”.
The album will be released in 3 editions, two of them being limited edition that come with a bonus blu-ray disc. The limited Edition A comes will a full concert of the girls performing at Tokyo’s COTTON CLUB venue, while limited edition B has all of their music video clips. The regular edition has an additional 3 exclusive discs, bringing the total to a massive 6 disc collection. It will include all of °C-ute’s b-sides as well as “rare” songs. The “rare” song disc is mainly a combination of new recordings, songs made for stage plays, and previously unreleased songs making this a must for any °C-ute fan.
