“ERASED” live action coming to Netflix this December 15

Netflix original drama “Boku Dake ga Inai Machi” (ERASED english title) will premiere worldwide on December 15. A new visual of the drama was also released featuring Yuki Furukawa who plays lead character Satoru Fujinuma.

The original manga was serialized in Kadokawa’s Young Ace from 2012 to 2016, with a total of 9 volumes. Although it has been previously adapted into TV anime series and live-action film, the Netflix drama will tell the same climax with the original manga for the first time.

Satoru Fujinuma (Yuki Furukawa) is a young man experiencing a mysterious phenomenon REVIVAL, which allows him to go back in time right before a terrible incident occurs. This continues to happen until the cause of the threat is erased. He goes back 18 years ago in his elementary days. He is convinced that  his mother’s death is related with a serial murder case involving children which occurred 18 years ago.

Box Office Charts 10/28 – 10/29: Kirakira☆Precure #1, Blade Runner 2049 #2, Sensei! #5

The latest film in the Precure anime franchise took the top spot in terms of admissions. Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode: Paris to! Omoide no Mille-Feuille!(Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode the Movie: With Paris! Mille-Feuille of Memories) sold 170,659 tickets and earned ¥193,101,900.

At no. 2 is Blade Runner 2049 which took in 149,947 viewers (¥226,493,800). In terms of revenue, it actually exceeded the Precure film. It attracted a wide range of viewers, mainly attracting men in their 40s and 50s. One out five viewers watched the film in IMAX or 3D / 4D, a higher priced ticket.

In 5th place is the live action film Sensei! …Suki ni Natte mo Ii desu ka? (Teacher! …Is it All Right For Me to Like You?) starring Ikuta Toma and Hirose Suzu, directed by Takahiro Miki. The film attracted 99,245 viewers and earned ¥126,507,65.

The Free! -Take Your Marks- anime film opened at #8. Mix dropped to #3 while Saiki Kusuo no Sainan dropped to #4, with total revenue surpassing ¥600M and ¥400M respectively. Narratage also exceeded the ¥1 billion mark this week.

This week, Keyakizaka46 topped the Oricon single chart with their new single “Kaze ni Fukarete mo”, selling 642,936 copies in its first week.

Tohoshinki topped the Oricon album chart with their new best album “FINE COLLECTION ~Begin Again~”, selling 130,447 copies in its first week.

Hi-STANDARD topped the Oricon digital album chart with “THE GIFT”, selling 3,398 copies in its first week of digital release.
