Every year, Nikkei Entertainment releases a ranking based on concert attendance in Japan, ranking acts based on the overall amount of people who attended their shows over the course of the year. This ranking is based on seating capacity for venues, not necessarily tickets sold.
Sandaime J Soul Brothers topped the ranking this year with 1,803,000 attendees at 37 concerts. They were followed by Big Bang with 1,022,000 attendees at 20 concerts. Third place went to Kanjani8 with 990,000 attendees at 20 concerts.

On December 4, TBS will air this year’s Japan Yusen Taisho. The show will air from 7 PM JST to 11 PM JST. It will be hosted by Umezawa Tomio and Yoshida Yo.
Ten acts have been awarded the Music Excellence Award. These acts were given this awarda because their songs have been highly requested on cable TV channels. During the show, one of these ten acts will receive the Grand Prize. Three acts are also receiving the New Artist Award.

On November 28, Nippon TV will air Best Artist 2017. The focal point of the show well be a song and dance medley of hits from the past 50 years, titled “Minna Odoreru! Furitsuke Song 50-nen Medley.” It was previously revealed that Arashi and Nogizaka46 will collaborate for a performance of Arashi’s “A・RA・SHI”, while Perfume will perform their song “Polyrhythm” with Miura Asami and Kondo Haruna. More collaborations have now been announced. The performers of these collaborations include Kanjani8, E-girls, Hey! Say! JUMP, and NEWS. Check out the lineup below!

Next week hard rock duo B’z will be starting their 30th anniversary celebration with the release of their 20th album “DINOSAUR.” While they have already published the PV for the record’s title track, the group have since uploaded a whole host of other content related to the album.
Firstly, they have revealed the music video for the release’s second track, “CHAMP”, which features a look back at the duo’s nearly three decades of live performances. In addition, they have also uploaded a short PV for the already released “Still Alive,” a digest for the content which will be featured on the album’s Limited Edition DVD/Blu-ray, and announced that their new song “King Of The Street” will be used as the theme song for upcoming video game “Dynasty Warriors 9.”
