Yonezu Kenshi topped the Hot Albums chart for the second consecutive week with his album “STRAY SHEEP.”
YOASOBI topped the Streaming Songs chart for the 12th non-consecutive week with their digital single “Yoru ni Kakeru.”
Maaya Sakamoto topped the Download Songs chart with her new digital single “Yakudo.”
Kenshi also topped the Download Albums chart for the second consecutive week with “STRAY SHEEP.”
Negicco is currently celebrating their 17th anniversary! As part of this celebration, the trio will release a new single, “Gozen 0-ji no Sympathy”, on August 25. The song is a collaboration with Hitomitoi and PARKGOLF, with her in charge of the lyrics, the two of them in charge of the composition, and him handling the arrangement.
Negicco recently released the music video for “Gozen 0-ji no Sympathy.” In keeping with the late night theme of the song, the video was shot at night in Yokohama. Check it out below!
Surprise! Ayumi Hamasaki has released a brand new MV for her latest digital single “Dreamed a Dream“. Produced by Tetsuya Komuro, this is the 2nd digital single for Ayu this year, following “Ohia no Ki” released back in June.
The release of the MV ties in with her performance at the summer edition of the annual music television special FNS. The sudden upload came as a shock for fans as there was zero announcements, teasers, or even hints that Ayu was filming a MV for “Dreamed a Dream”! Her performance at FNS served as the very first live for “Dreamed a Dream”, she also performed “You & Me” at FNS.
The MV takes place in a wasteland where a very superhero looking Ayu can be seen looking on while her backup dancers slowly join her, looking like they just finished a lengthy battle. Suddenly the sky clears and it begins to rain, prompting all of them to dance together. The MV is rounded out by mysterious scenes of Ayu dressed as a nun. Check it out below!
