This week, =LOVE topped the Combined Single chart with their new single “Seishun ‘Subliminal’”, with 102,904 points in its first week.

BTS topped the Combined Album chart with their album “BE”, with 207,216 points in its second week.

=LOVE also topped the Single chart with “Seishun ‘Subliminal’”, selling 99,573 copies in its first week.

BTS also topped the Album chart with “BE”, selling 191,208 copies in its second week.

LiSA topped the Digital Single chart for the seventh consecutive week with her single “Homura”, selling 53,486 copies its seventh week.

Miyamoto Hiroji topped the Digital Album chart with his cover album “ROMANCE”, selling 5,751 copies in its second week.

LiSA also topped the Streaming chart for the seventh consecutive week with “Homura”, with 13,743,757 streams in its seventh week.

We’re back with this week’s edition of Oricon Flashback! This is where we look back on what topped the charts this week 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years ago. Think of it as a way to reminisce and learn about the past of Japanese music.

On December 6, the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards were held in Paju, South Korea. Three Japanese acts received awards at the show. Grouped in with the main awards category, which centers on KPop, was JO1, who won Best New Asian Artist.

The other two winning Japanese acts were grouped in the Asia Music category. Official HIGE DANdism won Best Asian Artist Japan, while Fujii Kaze won Best New Asian Artist Japan.

JO1 also had a virtual performance from Tokyo, which can be seen below, along with winner reactions!
