2020 was a fantastic year for singer LiSA, and she ended it off on a high note by winning the grand prix award at the prestigious 62nd Japan Record Awards. Leading off of that momentum, LiSA has released her latest MV for the song “dawn“.
“dawn” is LiSA’s 18th physical single overall, and in usual LiSA fashion has a tie-in with an anime series. “dawn” is theme song for the series “Back Arrow” and is her very first release of 2021. In the MV a purple haired LiSA is seen singing in front of a wooden arch engulfed in flames.

Earlier today, a special episode of MUSIC STATION aired, “MUSIC STATION x Johnny’s Jr. DVD Hatsubai Kinen SP.” This special episode shows behind the scenes footage of the upcoming DVD “MUSIC STATION x Johnny’s Jr. Special LIVE”, out March 31. The DVD was filmed on October 16 at Tokyo’s EX ROPPONGI THEATER when Johnny’s Jr. performed on MUSIC STATION that day. Travis Japan, HiHi Jets, Bishonen, 7 MEN Samurai, Shonen Ninja, Jr.SP, IMPACTors, Naniwa Danshi, Lil Kansai, and Ae! group are featured on the program.
This week’s performers were Vaundy, sumika, and Yayuyo. There was also a talk segment between the show’s hosts, Koseki Yuta, Nukumi Meru, and First Summer Uika. They went over a list of the acts that a group of 149 music industry professionals chose as the ones to look out for in 2021. MUSICA Editor-in-Chief Ariizumi Tomoko also provide commentary. It has been announced that popular YouTube personality Ugoku-chan has passed away. Her management company “THE COO Co., Ltd.”, confirmed the news that Ugoku-chan passed away back on December 31st, 2020.
Ugoku-chan belonged to a produced agency called “Studio Coup” that is owned by The COO co. Ltd, mainly specializing in managing the career of online influencers. In the statement they further went on to say that they have an incredible close relationship with their creators, and her passing has caused indiscernible sadness.
Singer ZOMBIE-CHANG has returned with a brand new MV for her song “GIANT PANDA“. The song was previously released on her 2020 studio album titled “TAKE ME AWAY FROM TOKYO”.
Looking like it was shot in the 70s, the MV features a misfit human-panda who is bullied by his peers. He’s recued by ZOMBIE-CHANG and a friend who go on a wacky sci-fi adventure together. A HD “reaction cam” can be seen at the bottom right corner, mainly featuring ZOMBIE-CHANG singing. Check out the full MV below!

In the June of 2011, HYNA debuted on the JPop scene with her single “TARATIKA.” Described as a combination of Koda Kumi and Lady Gaga, HYNA’s video for the song went viral, due to its over the top sexiness and spastic dancing.
Just as quickily as HYNA appeared, she was gone. Until now!
On January 8, HYNA will make her return, with the digital single “GOLDEN DREAM.” She’s also released the music video for the song, which features an Olympic theme. Check it out below!
