SALU & thedreambandgunjo Release PV for “Yuganda Ai”

Last month, rapper SALU joined hip hop producer OHLD’s band thedreambandgunjo to form the unit SALU & thedreambandgunjo. They released their EP “THE CALM” on February 18. They have now released a music video for the EP’s 5th track, “Yuganda Ai.” The downtempo song features SALU singing. The visuals for the video are a good match for the mood of the song, featuring a lot of black and white and muted colors. Check it out after the jump!

Soundscan Chart for the Week of 2/23 – 3/1

On the single side, Arashi topped the chart with “Sakura”, with its CD+DVD Limited Edition selling 378,481 copies. The 2 editions of this single took the top 2 spots on the chart this week. They sold 484,334 copies, making it the best selling single this week.

On the album side, NEWS took the top spot with “White”, with its CD+DVD edition selling 66,347. The 2 editions of this album sold 115,858 copies, making it the best selling album this week.

Arashi and NEWS top the weekly Oricon charts! 2/23-3/1

In a little delayed posting, the weekly Oricon charts for physical album and single sales for the week of February 23rd to March 1st is here!

For the singles chart, Arashi’s new song “Sakura” dominates with 465,381 copies sold. The song is currently used as the theme of the new TBS drama OUROBOROS ~ Kono Ai Koso, Seigi starring Ikuta Toma, who belongs to the same agency as Arashi, and Oguri Shun. This is the group’s first drama theme song starring a non-member. NEWS just barely beat out Acid Black Cherry on the album chart with their 6th original studio album “White” with 114,972 units in its first week.

Haruka to Miyuki Set to Release New Mini Album

On April 22, female rock duo Haruka to Miyuki will release their new mini album “Sekai.” At the beginning of the year, the ladies started a series of monthly digital releases. January’s was titled “Sekai”, followed by “Usotsuki” in February. March’s is titled “Kimi wa Mada Shiranai.” All 3 of these songs will be on the mini album “Sekai.” The mini album will come in a regular and limited edition, with the limited edition containing a DVD of a live show from this past February. tofubeats Releases Video for Free Download Song “Drum Machine”

On April 1, tofubeats is set to release his new EP “STAKEHOLDER.” Ahead of this release, he has released the song “Drum Machine. “Drum Machine” will not be featured on “STAKEHOLDER.” However, tofubeats is giving the song away for free. The song features tofubeats rapping. To support this release, he has made a video for the song. The video for the song is just as frantic as the song itself. Check it out after the jump!
