Charisma.com Releases PV for “Kongara Girl”

On April 15, Charisma.com will release their new digital single “Kongara Girl.” “Kongara Girl” is the campaign song for the TANGLE TEEZER line of hairbrushes. The ladies of Charisma.com have now released the song’s music video. The music video is a combination of animation and live action. It portrays the duo as comic book superheroes.  Check it out after the jump along with the digital single’s cover!

Ai Otsuka Releases Teaser Video for Her New Album

As previously reported, on April 22, Ai Otsuka is set to release her 7th studio album, “LOVE TRiCKY.” Today, the singer released a teaser video for the album. In the video, viewers can hear Ai’s new, more electronic-influenced sound. The visuals in the video are a mix of video clips of Ai, graphics, and all kinds of randomness. There’s even a bit of the heat-sensing technology from the album cover art in there. Check it out after the jump!

KLOOZ Releases PV for “Selfie” with SALU

On April 22, rapper KLOOZ is set to release his new album “BLUE.” This new album comes about a year after his last album, “SEASONS.” “BLUE” will have 12 tracks. A special edition of the album can be ordered from his label’s online store. This special edition of the album will come with a bonus CD and DVD. The bonus CD includes the songs he’s been releasing on YouTube over the past few months. Ahead of the release of “BLUE”, KLOOZ has released the music video for the album’s 2nd track, “Selfie.” “Selfie” is a collaboration song with fellow rapper SALU. The video for “Selfie” sees the rappers enjoying themselves around Tokyo while taking selfies.  Check it out after the jump! Soundscan Chart for the Week of 3/23 – 3/29

On the single side, Kis-My-Ft2 topped the chart with “Kiss Damashii”, with its CD+DVD Limited Edition B selling 73,743 copies. The 3 editions of this single took the top 3 spots on the chart this week. Between its 3 editions, “Kiss Damashii” sold 206,445 copies, making it the best selling single this week.

On the album side, EXILE took the top spot with “19 -Road to AMAZING WORLD-“, with its 2CD+2DVD edition selling 69,455. Two of the 4 editions of this album took the top 2 spots on the chart. Between its 4 editions, “19 -Road to AMAZING WORLD-” sold 121,957, making it the best selling single this week.

Crystal Kay to become a member of E-girls

A couple months back, we announced that Crystal Kay had joined the popular agency, LDH. LDH is know for hosting and producing acts such as EXILE, Sandaime J Soul Brothers and E-girls. While HIRO had confirmed it on his blog that he welcomed her into the company, the songtress was yet to be added to the LDH official website. Despite this lack of confirmation on the website, Crystal Kay has taken part in many recent events hosted by the agency such as PKCZ.

That was until yesterday.

AI Announces Her Pregnancy

Today, R&B singer AI took to social media to announce her pregnancy. She revealed the happy news via her Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. She thanked everyone and wished happiness to the world. She also posted a picture of a blossoming cherry blossom tree. Her management further revealed that the singer is about 5 months pregnant. AI married her boyfriend of 10 years, HIRO of Kaiki Gesshoku, last January. We wish the couple the best on this joyous occasion!

Kis-My-Ft2 and EXILE top the weekly Oricon charts! 3/23-3/29

The Oricon physical music charts for the week of 3/23-3/29 have been released!

Kis-My-Ft2’s rock and dance number Kiss Damashii comes out on top of the single charts selling 356,218 copies. Additionally, Korean group BTOB more than triple their sales of their debut single with Mirai (Ashita) and Hello! Project’s new group Country Girls came out in third selling 45,032 copies of their debut double A-side Itooshikutte Gomen ne / Koi Dorobou.

For the album charts, EXILE dominate with their 10th studio album 19 -Road to AMAZING WORLD- pushing 204,119 units in its first week while actress Sakurako Ohara’s debut effort HAPPY comes in second place with a cool 32,798 sales.
