Tonight, tricot performed the last show of their North American tour in Los Angeles. The ladies have spent most of October playing shows across the United States and Canada to packed, enthusiastic houses.
As a parting gift, tricot has released the music video for an unreleased song titled “Pork Ginger.” In the clip, the band’s members complete physical challenges in an arid area. tricot’s YouTube channel was recently blocked in the US due to the whole YouTube RED fiasco. I recently spoke to their manager about the situation and he said that he was working on it. The issue has been solved! tricot’s YouTube channel is now available again in the US! It has been announced that Sayashi Riho will graduate from Morning Musume. ’15 on December 31st, 2015, just two days shy of the 5th anniversary of her entrance into the long-running idol group.
In January 2011, Sayashi was one of four girls chosen to join the group’s 9th generation and made her debut with the song “Majidesuka Suka“. Touted as the ace, she was pushed into becoming one of the group’s central figures and one of the main vocalists; essentially the face of the group, especially since Sayumi Michishige’s depature from the group in 2014.
Achieving her life-long dream of becoming a member of Morning Musume, she felt it was time to move on and continue to develop her skills. Sayashi will remain within Hello! Project following her graduation, but has plans to study abroad to improve her English and dance with plans to return as a performer at a later date.
On November 18, aiko will release her new single “Puramai.” The song will serve as the theme for the upcoming NHK BS Premium drama “Kari Kare”, which premieres on November 3. One of the single’s B-sides, “Aizu”, serves as the theme for the movie “Senpai to Kanojo”, which opened in theaters earlier this month. The First Press Edition comes of “Puramai” with a color tray and 8-page booklet.

On October 28, REBECCA’s vocalist NOKKO will release the cover album “NOKKO sings REBECCA tunes 2015.” The album sees NOKKO performing several of her band’s hit songs, but arranged in an EDM style. DJ Levin is in charge of the arrangements on this album.
One of the songs NOKKO covers on this album is REBECCA’s 1985 hit “Friends.” This new version of “Friends” sees NOKKO collaborating with Charisma.com. A short music video for the song was released today. In it, listeners can hear “Friends” in a new EDM style as well as a rap from Charisma.com’s rapper MC Itsuka. On October 28, Korean boyband Choshinsei’s sub-unit Funky Galaxy from Choshinsei will release their debut record. It is a mini album titled “Funky Galaxy.” One of the tracks, “Jesus”, is a collaboration with Ziyoou-vachi’s frontwoman Avu-chan. She wrote the song and also provided guest vocals on it. “Jesus” is the ending them for the Fuji TV daytime drama “Wakaretara Suki na Hito.”
The short music video for “Jesus” was recently released. The video revolves around couples saying their final farewells to each other. Check it out after the jump, along with the mini album’s covers and tracklist!
On October 28, Shota Shimizu will release his new single “Hanataba no Kawari ni Melody wo.” The song serves as the theme for the NHK drama “Designer Baby”, starring Meisa Kuroki. Shota said that he was honored to be selected as the performer of the drama’s theme.
Shota recently released the music video for “Hanataba no Kawari ni Melody wo.” The clips revolves around a couple on their wedding day. Clips of the couple are mixed with clips of Shota performing the song on a piano. Check it out after the jump, along with the covers and tracklist for the single!

The 3 editions of “Kimi Attraction” took the top 3 spots on the chart. Between these 3 editions, “Kimi Attraction” sold 202,862 copies, making it the best selling single this week.
On the album side, Arashi topped the chart with “Japonism”, with its CD+DVD Limited Edition selling 472,565 copies. The 3 editions of “Japonism” took the top 3 spots on the chart. Between these 3 editions, “Japonism” sold 862,586 copies, making it the best selling album this week.
