Billboard Japan to Change Its Chart Metrics

Starting December 7, Billboard Japan will no longer include CD lookup and Twitter in its metrics for its charts.

Regarding CD lookup, due to circumstances with the company that provides this data, it will be impossible to continue using this metric since there is no other company providing similar data.

Regarding Twitter, it began to be used by Billboard Japan as a means of measuring media exposure besides radio. However, there are now other metrics that do the same thing.
