At a press conference for his latest movie titled “Kinkyori Renai,” Yamashita Tomohisa openly admitted that he compared to his character, he has a boring personality.
On September 22, Yamashita Tomohisa (29) along with his costars Komatsu Nana (18) and Kotaki Nozomu (18) greeted fans at premier for the movie “Kinkyori Renai” that was held in Osaka.
When Yamashita made his appearance he said “Everyone in Osaka, I missed you,” raising his lively voice over the screams of the fans who packed the room.
This movie is the live action version of a shoujo manga manga by the same name which sold over 2,000,000 copies. “Since the original work is a shoujo manga, there were lots of awkward lines, but as I did [the lines] more, it eventually seemed like it would become a habit,” he admitted. When asked what for an example of an awkward line, Yamashita said “Shall we turn up the heat a little more?” to which the cheers of the female fans poured in.
Furthermore, Yamashita, who played the most “tsundere” English teacher in history stated “If I’m not “tsun” or “dere,” I’m just a really boring guy,” inviting laughs with his self depreciating comment.
