The winners for the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2016 were announced today!
The 5 fan-voted categories are subdivided into Japan / International: Best Male Video, Best Female Video, Best Group Video, Best New Artist Video, Best Album of the Year. Voting for the these categories ended on September 30.
The winners of the other 7 categories were selected by MTV: Best Rock Video, Best Metal Video, Best Pop Video, Best R&B Video, Best Hip Hop Video, Best Dance Video, and Best Choreography.
Additionally, there were also 2 special awards: Best Teen Choice and Inspiration Award Japan.

The VMAJs are not over yet. The most prestigious award, Video of the Year, will be awarded at MTV VMAJ -THE PARTY!!- on October 26. It starts at 7PM and will be hosted by hip hop group RIP SLYME.
