After the official title and key visual poster was released a few days ago, the official Youtube channel for Death Note Light Up the NEW World uploaded a 30-second long first trailer for the movie.  The trailer focuses on the ‘6 Death Notes’ aspect of the plot and offers the first look at some of the characters including Yugi Shion (Masaki Suda), Ryuzaki (Sousuke Ikematsu), and Tsukuru Mishima (Masahiro Higashide). Most prominently though, it highlights Sakura Aoi (Rina Kawaei), one of the six owners that kills people indiscriminately; the trailer shows her standing in the middle of a mass hysteria, laughing.

Death Note Light Up the NEW World opens in Japanese theaters this October 29. Check out the trailer after the jump!
