EXILE to release new album “STAR OF WISH” and embark on a Dome Tour

It was announced that EXILE will be releasing a new album “STAR OF WISH” on July 25. This is the group’s first album since their hiatus. In addition to that, the group will be holding a dome tour “EXILE LIVE TOUR 2018-2019″ STAR OF WISH” starting from September this year.

The announcement was made during EXILE THE SECOND’s concert held on the 24th at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Center. After the announcement, EXILE made a surprise appearance on stage. The 15-member group then proceeded to perform “Rising Sun”, “PARTY ALL NIGHT – STAR OF WISH ~” and “Heads or Tails”.

Under the theme of road to “STAR OF WISH”, EXILE has been releasing new singles for 6 consecutive months since February. Apart from the 6 “EXILE FRIDAY” songs, the CD also includes the much-talked about “Heads or Tails” which is the commercial song for Nissin’s “CUP NOODLE” aired from April and new songs. Moreover, the big hit “Ki・mi・ni・mu・chu” released after the previous album “19 -Road to AMAZING WORLD-“, Rio Olympics telecast theme song “Joy-ride” and “24karats GOLD SOUL” which represents the spirit of EXILE are also included. This album is scheduled to contain a total of 13 songs!

This week, BOYS AND MEN topped the Hot 100 chart with their new single “Shinka Riron.”

LiSA topped the Hot Albums chart with her new best album “LiSA BEST -Way-.”

Sandaime J Soul Brothers topped the Streaming Songs chart with their new single “Koi to Ai.”

Yonezu Kenshi retook the top spot on the Download Songs chart with his single “Lemon”, topping the chart for the 10th non-consecutive week.

Charlie Puth topped the Oricon digital album chart with his new album “Voicenotes.”

King & Prince officially debuts with “Cinderella Girl”

King & Prince finally makes their highly anticipated debut on May 23. The new Johnny’s group officially debuts with the single “Cinderella Girl”, an uptempo love song that serves as the theme song for the drama “Hana Nochi Hare”. Within just 2 days of release, the single has sold over 400K copies, already making “Cinderella Girl” one of the highest debut from Johnny & Associates.

King & Prince are your prince charming in their music video for “Cinderella Girl”. Recently, Universal Music Japan has also lifted the region restriction for King & Prince’s music video. GACKT denies bankruptcy and tax evasion rumors

The past couple days many gossip publications reported that rocker GACKT has been having quite a few monetary issues.

Some of the allegations include tax evasion, and that his affiliated office “G-PRO” quietly went bankrupt. Many of the articles stated that G-PRO went into liquidating it’s assets last month in April, as ordered from the Tokyo District Court.

The detailed circumstances regarding the bankruptcy weren’t made public.
