The Recording Industry Association of Japan Releases Its Digital Certifications for April

One song from 2019 was certified Platinum this month for selling 250,000 copies: back number‘s “HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”

In a rare occurrence, a ringtone was certified digitally this month. Wham!’s “Last Christmas” was certified Triple Platinum for selling 750,000 copies.

ONE N’ ONLY, “Monogatari”, MAN WITH A MISSION, back number, and Aimyon Top the Oricon Charts for the Week of 5/6 – 5/12

This week, ONE N’ ONLY topped the Combined Single chart with their new single “Dark Kinght”, with 46,956 points in its first week.

The “Monogatari” soundtrack topped the Combined Album chart this week, with 16,734 points in its first week.

ONE N’ ONLY also topped the Single chart with “Dark Kinght”, selling 46,732 copies in its first week.

MAN WITH A MISSION topped the Digital Single chart with their new digital single “Remember Me”, selling 32,553 copies in its first week.

back number retook the top spot on the Digital Album chart, topping it for the third non-consecutive week, with their album “MAGIC”, selling 1,308 copies in its seventh week.

Aimyon topped the Streaming chart for the 19th consecutive week with her single “Marigold”, with 2,181,414 streams in the chart’s 22nd week.

The youngest member of SEXY ZONE has debuted a refreshing new look for the spring season! Marius Yo has decided to go platinum blonde, showing off his sleek new style in the popular fashion magazine SPUR.

Marius dyed his hair a couple months ago, during promotions for SEXY ZONE’s latest album “Pages“. The group is currently on tour in support of the album. Fans unable to attend the concert, or see short clips of him on TV, have a better look at his hair thanks to his solo photoshoot with SPUR!

Perfume’s Commercials for “Hadabisei” Sheet Masks Feature New Song “Nananananairo”

Electropop trio Perfume have teased their upcoming single “Nananananairo” in a commercial tie-in for Kracie’s “Hadabisei” sheet masks.

Filmed in Taiwan while on Perfume was on their international tour, each commercial follows the theme of the different masks from Kracie’s new sheet mask series: diving, lantern, and night market.

Hey! Say! JUMP Cancels Tour Due to Poor Fan Behavior

To the disappointment of their fans, Hey! Say! JUMP has announced that they will not be embarking on an arena tour this year as planned. But some of those fans are the very reason that the tour is not taking place!

In the past, Hey! Say! JUMP has requested that fans act accordingly on public transportation when attending their concerts, so as not to disturb members of the general public. These requests fell on some deaf ears, leading to the group to take this drastic measure.
