Listen to RADWIMPS in the latest trailer for Makoto Shinkai’s “Your name.”

Your name. (Japanese: Kimi no Na wa), the upcoming work of renowned anime film director Makoto Shinkai (5 Centimeters per Second, The Garden of Words) released its second batch of trailers; a short one was released on its official website Thursday, after Yahoo!Movies streamed a longer one the previous day. Playing on the background of both trailers is “Zen Zen Zense” by alternative rock outfit RADWIMPS.

Your name. is Makoto Shinkai’s 5th anime feature film, following The Garden of Words in 2013. The story centered around two high school students named Mitsuha Miyamizu and Taki Tachibana. Mitsuha is a young girl who lives in a rural town and detests every second of it, dreaming to be reborn as a Tokyoite; Taki is a pretty regular Tokyo high school student that works part-time in an Italian restaurant. The plot is put in motion when two had a dream where they lived the other person’s life (without any prior knowledge of each other).

Aside from Shinkai who writes and directs the whole thing, there’s Masashi Ando (Spirited Away, Paprika) who serves as the animation director and Masayoshi Tanaka (Anohana, Toradora!) as the character designer. Continuing the work from The Garden of Words, the animation is handled by CoMix Wave Inc.

The voice cast member for the two leads is also already revealed: Ryunosuke Kamiki (Kenji from Summer Wars, Markl from Howl’s Moving Castle) will lend his voice for Taki, playing opposite to actress Mone Kamishiraisi (Kanade Oe on the live-action adaptation of Chihayafuru) who will be voicing Mitsuha.

The final piece of information revealed on the trailer is the film’s release date: August 26.

It is reported that RADWIMPS produced over 20 tracks for the film’s soundtrack, but is not composing the film’s actual theme song, so those who expects a heartbreaking, somber tone as seen in 5 Centimeters per Second and The Garden of Words can probably keep their hopes up. Tone aside though, the visuals are as beautiful as ever; Check out the long version of the trailer below!
