Songstress Tomomi Kahara has given birth to her first child.

Through her official website, Tomomi reveals that she welcomed a healthy baby boy in late August weighing in at 5.7 pounds.

“I experienced a happy childbirth in a warm atmosphere surrounded by kindness,” the new mother writes. “It’s a great joy to have a child, but I will continue to devote my effort towards singing in the future.“

Tomomi Kahara previously posted her 6-month baby bump. According to officials, the baby’s father is a non-celebrity who works for a foreign company. They were introduced to each other by a mutual friend in Fall of last year and quickly entered a committed relationship.

In the same post, her agency Production Ogi congratulated Tomomi on her birth, and believe the love she has for her child will improve her singing ability.
