On March 9th, Yu Takahashi will release his new single ‘Sakura no Uta’. It will be his 13th single to date, available in CD-only regular edition and CD+DVD limited edition. Short version of the promotional video was published on Youtube earlier this month. The clip is directed by Ai Tsuno, protegee of internationally acclaimed movie-maker Hirokazu Kore-eda (of ‘Like Father, Like Son’ and ‘Our Little Sister’ fame) and stars Mugi Kadowaki as an OL dreaming of becoming a ballerina.

‘Sakura no Uta’ is a heart-warming ballad about dreams and ambitions and a cherry blossom theme, so appropriate for a March release. Actress Mugi Kadowaki, who aimed to be a professional dancer in the past, created the choreography by herself while listening to the song.
