The saga of Kawatani Enon and Becky continues. On Friday, Enon deep bowed twice on Music Station in a show of remorse. On Sunday, Gesu no Kiwami Otome. held a free live at a Tokyo park in support of their new album, “Ryoseibai.” Before the show, Enon tearfully apologized to fans once again. He also thanked them for their support and promised to continue making good music for them. The fans shouted “Good luck!” in a show of support.

However, a lot of non-fans have taken to the internet to criticize Enon and show support for his wife, who they see as the real victim of this whole fiasco.
Becky is supposedly staying at home and only leaving her house for work since the scandal broke. She’s supposedly lost 4 kilograms in the past 10 days. However, a Japanese tourist in Australia snapped a picture of Becky enjoying herself at a zoo in the country on Sunday. The tourist then posted the picture to their Twitter account, where it spread online.
The backlash against Becky remains strong though. Her segments in the episode of “Sekai no Hate Made Itte Q!” that aired on Sunday were mostly cut. Her deals with tv channels and companies for CMs are still on shaky ground.
If there is a bright spot in all of this, it is that Enon can now celebrate his band’s first #1 on Oricon. In spite of the scandal, “Ryoseibai” will debut at #1 when the new chart is released, with sales of about 72,000.
