Former Morning Musume ace Goto Maki (29) has finally held her wedding ceremony after a half a year of registering for marriage with her husband.

The couple had previously begun dating several years ago and rekindled their flame the summer before last. He is with a non-celebrity 3 years her junior from her hometown and is who Goto attributes to re-jumpstarting her career after a series of tragedies within her family.

Wearing her wedding dress, Goto commented, “I fell in love with this dress at first sight because of its beautiful, cute yet adult-like lace.“

“I’ve always wanted to wear a wedding dress. Since we have been preparing this wedding for about half a year, I was delighted when I realized my dream would finally come true,” she gleefully continued.

Among 200 guests, other former Morning Musume members in attendance included Kaori Iida, Natsumi Abe, Kei Yasuda, Mari Yaguchi, Ishikawa Rika, Hitomi Yoshizawa, Ai Takahashi and Nozomi Tsuji (accompanied by her two eldest children).
