Former Morning Musume member Goto Maki has recently made front page news about her rumored marriage, so the singer recently took to her blog to clear up the gossip.

She is indeed married. She registered for marriage with her husband on the morning of July 22nd. There was no special ceremony for this event.

“Being together with him makes me feel at ease, he’s a compassionate partner. Meeting him jump-started my motivation,” she wrote. She proceeded to thank everyone else who have helped her leading up to this point, “not counting my parents when I was very young, it seems like my staff and all of the fans have raised me. I’m truly thankful.”

I have some news to share.

At this time on July 22nd, Goto Maki has filed her marriage registration.

If I look back, I debuted in Morning Musume at age 13, and I did my best with side groups and my solo activities, all of my fans let me live my dreams.

As well as my family always being together with me.

I lost my mother, so I took a a short break from my entertainment activities.

From the start of that, I was yearning [for something]

With each passing day, my thoughts about starting a family of my own grew stronger.

My husband is not a public figure.

Being together with him makes me feel at ease, he’s a compassionate partner

Meeting him jump-started my motivation.

She talks about her activities she has done since she came back.

Starting June 25, I became the chief curator of ‘Alifis’

And I made a TV appearance with Morning Musume OG.

And a lot of you have been visiting my blog.

With everyone supporting me,

I wanted to report my marriage here, so that’s why I’m writing this.

From now on, my determination to push forward is greater.

Even after filing my marriage registration, I want to continue with my entertainment activities even more.

It has been 15 years since my debut in Morning Musume.

I turned 28.

Just like I’ve already written on my blog, I really like things such as cooking, cosmetics, and Monster Hunter.

Music too, of course ♪

From now on, I’m ready to power up.

And I’d like to continue going about my daily activities.

So, I’d be happy if you all would continue to watch over me just as usual.

I wonder if what I’m trying to say is being communicated.

Honestly, it was troubling me thinking about how should I tell you all…I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
