Hello, Arama! Japan readers and welcome to this week’s installment of #1 Song Review! Last week saw Kanjani8 defeat Naoto Inti Raymi. This week, we have 2 newcomers facing off! Find out what various staff members thought of the songs that topped the physical and digital charts this week and share your thoughts on them too!
Oricon #1: NEWS – Koi wo Shiranai Kimi e (not released digitally)
Ronald: Hmm, it’s not as if I haven’t this song a million times before, but there is a certain nice sentimental feeling to it. The vocals are a bit nasal at times, but not to the point of being annoying. It’s a nice song to play in the background, but not really focus on. 5/10

Recochoku #1 / iTunes #1: Nishino Kana – Have a nice day (not released physically)
Ronald: I’m not really a fan of this. This song sees Kana being less country and more pop, but it’s really juvenile. It’s odd that a woman on the verge of 30 is singing such a childish song. It’s like as if her music has regressed as she’s aged. She’s going for a younger demographic now, obviously not people around her own age, but how much longer can this last? 4/10
