BABYMETAL’s new album, “METAL RESISTANCE”, has garnered quite a bit of success outside of Japan. The album has cracked the US top 40 and the UK top 20. It has also charted well in several other countries.

In the US, the album reached #39 on the Billboard 200, the main album chart. It also came in at #7 on the Digital Albums chart, #2 on the Hard Rock Albums chart, #4 on the Independent Albums chart, #6 on the Top Rock Albums chart, and #1 on the World Albums chart. It sold 12,914 equivalent album units, with 12,240 of those being pure album sales.

In the UK, the album reached #15 on the Albums chart, the main album chart. It also came in at #5 on the Independent Albums chart and #2 on the Rock & Metal Albums. It sold 5,612 copies.

The album also debuted at #7 in Australia and #36 in Germany.
