Popular digital download platform Recochoku recently published their rankings for the first half of the year to their website; these charts cover the period starting from January 1st through June 30th of 2016 and represent data collected from across Recochoku’s many services.

Atop the Overall Artists chart is Sandaime J Soul Brothers (from EXILE TRIBE), whose continued strong performance was buoyed by the success of songs like album lead track “Feel So Alive”.  Meanwhile, the Digital Singles chart is ruled by Kiritani Kenta’s (as Urashima Taro) “Umi no Koe”, which remains inside the Daily Top 10 even now.  Finally, the Top New Artist thus far this year is idol unit Keyakizaka46, whose debut song “Silent Majority” made a notable impact on the charts.
