Oricon #1: THE IDOLM@STER – THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS STARLIGHT MASTER 03 Hi-Fi☆Days (not released digitally)

Ronald: Well, I can’t say that this isn’t something that I haven’t heard a million times before. It’s your typical peppy idol song, but this time performed by a group of anime girls instead of real ones. Same thing, different image. But funny enough, I actually prefer the anime girls over the real ones (how otaku of me). And at times, this song reminds me of some random super upbeat song that someone like Ai Otsuka would’ve done last decade. 4/10

Recochoku #1 / iTunes #1: Ken Hirai – Mahoutte Itte Ii Kana? (Oricon #15)
Watch here
Ronald: I love Ken, I love his voice, but I don’t love this song. I’m not really a fan of his simpler ballads, which oftentimes, like this one, are sentimental, but also quite dull. It seems as if the song doesn’t really go anymore. It’s very one note. I’ve listened to it more since his new album came out, but it’s not a song I seek out on the album. 5/10
