Oricon #1: Johnny’s WEST – Zundoko Paradise (not released digitally)

Ronald: First of all, the beginning of this song sound just like “Eejanaika.” Who thought it was a good idea to make a song that sounds just like another song you released not too long ago? And why is this one guy singing this song like it’s an enka song? This song has me confused from jump. As the song goes on, it just turns into your typical, cherry Johnny’s song. It lacks the spark of the NEWS and KAT-TUN songs from a few weeks ago. 3/10

Recochoku #1 / iTunes #1: Kumamushi – Attakaindakara (Oricon #10)

Ronald: Same review as last week – This is an interesting song. There’s a bit of a bait and switch here. At first the song start off as your typical folky pop song but in the middle, things change. The song becomes a lot more upbeat, more fun, a bit funky. I was pleasantly surprised by this. It made me a lot more interested in the song. It made me feel a bit warm in the end. 6.5/10
