it’s Influencer by Nogizaka46 not influenza

      • Kiroki

Influenza is how they pronounce it though.,

        • gekkou

ok but that doesn’t change the fact that the title is still not influenza

    • yacchaitai

      eh oricon meh

    • What

Suchmos at #10 for albums wow

Also shouldn’t the 2nd category be bestselling singles not albums?

      • I agree about Suchmos! It’s really shocking! They’re also the newest act in the top 10.

        • What

Definitely surprising, I didn’t expect them to sell this much in physical albums.. But what does this mean for them? Does it mean they’re growing more popular with the public (because I usually relate this aspect with digital sales) or is their fan base growing? Maybe both??

          • Both, seeing as how their songs rose digitally as well.

    • Kiroki

      Idol hate in 3…..2….1….

    • surfboardt

I just realized something: For overall sales, is the yen total strictly from physical sales? I’ve always assumed yes, but just wanted to confirm it.

      • Kiroki

it is. but not total physical sales. they only count the first 10 (or 20 copies) of bulk buy.

      • I would think that it now includes digital album sales since there is now an Oricon digital album chart.

    • Soyeon

Surprised no 48 groups are in the dvd chart

      • gesuto

Their DVDs doesn’t have handshake/2-shot tickets

      • Slava Tyan

they did not “major” release… They have releases but these interesting only for super-wota. Last major realease… AKB ga Ippai (MV collection) and… DVD Blu-Ray Yuko sotsugyo concert… and “Their DVDs doesn’t have handshake/2-shot tickets” =)

      • Owari Konoyono

Instead of buying DVD or Blu-ray that does not attach to “handshake / 2-shot tickets”, wota buys 5 CDs that attached to it.

    • Welp

      Boring list

    • monica_monami

We already predicted that SMAP will get the best album this year, unless jstorm did dirty sales gimmicks with Arashi’s album. But it is unlikely. It would be best to leave it at that and let SMAP shines at the end of the group career.

    • The digital charts make a difference in a lot of numbers. Japan needs to overhaul their chart system completely.

      • MomoHirai

How would they go about doing that?

    • circe154

I’m surprised the best selling DVDs are mostly music. In the US that’s rare.

      • Lol

Fans like the concert dvd and johnnys concert is good

    • #antiskype

      12. Ed Sheeran – ÷: (21,422)

      NOT IN JAPAN TOO, SERIOUSLY??
I like him but if I hear shape of you one more time, I am going to pass out
