Ai Kago & Nozomi Tsuji return to the stage as W

It finally happened! After 13 years former Morning Musume members Nozomi Tsuji and Ai Kago appeared together in a public event. It all went down on the opening date of the concert “Hello! Project 20th Anniversary!! Hello! Project Hina Fes 2019″ on March 30th.

This concert serves as the final celebration to Hello!Project’s 20th anniversary. Opening the show was W, performing their hit “Robokiss”.

After an emotional MC, the girls performed “Miss Love Tantei”. This was the last release by W, following Aibon’s suspension and eventual termination from Hello!Project.

Later on Nono and Aibon returned to the stage again with ANGERME members Musubu Funaki and Moe Kamikokuryo. The later two are currently apart of a sub-unit called Minis? which consists of the four shortest Hello!Project members.

This is a homage to the very popular Morning Musume sub-unit Minimoni, who had a similar concept. The quartet performed the Minimoni songs “Minimoni Hinamatsuri!” and “Lucky Cha Cha Cha!”

W’s final performance of the night was of Morning Musume’s 10th single “I WISH“, the duo performed with Morning Musume ’19. Adding extra sentimental value, this was the last song W performed as members of Morning Musume back in 2004.

In celebration of W’s return a digital mini-album titled “Choi Waru Devil” was released, it includes their canceled single “Dou ni mo Tomaranai/Choi Waru Devil” and three songs from their unreleased album “W3:Faithful”. The EP is currently #2 on almost all major digital retailers, only behind the popular band back number‘s newly released album “MAGIC”.
