Vice is launching a new TV channel in the US and Canada on February 29 titled Viceland. One of the shows on the new channel is titled “Gaycation.” On the show, lesbian actress Ellen Page and her gay best friend Ian Daniel travel to various countries to find out what life is like for LGBT people there. The premiere episode finds Ellen and Ian in Japan. In the episode, they visit Tokyo’s gay district, investigate yaoi, get married at a Buddhist temple that performs ceremonies for same-sex couples, and help a young man come out to his mother.
